Karen Puzio – Practice Manager

Started here in 1985 when the practice was owned by A.N Stuart, as a nurse and then was promoted to Head nurse until she was promoted yet again in 2004 to become Practice Administrator and then to Practice Manager in 2014.  Karen has also run puppy socialisation classes at the practice since 2001, which have been extremely popular and successful.  Karen has two dogs Lui and Jimi and enjoys participating in agility with Lui in her spare time.

Sue Wood – Reception/Accounts 

Started here in 2001, and is responsible, alongside Suzie for our accounts department. Sue has a small menagerie of animals including a chameleon, Rescue dogs, Biscuit, Kyra and Gus plus cats and chickens!

Val Bryant – Receptionist

Started here in 2005. Val has numerous responsibilities within the practice including organising our vaccine reminders and managing our pet food order- ensuring our clients receive their food efficiently.  Val owns two dogs ‘Binx’ and ‘Tuey’, and enjoys taking Binx beating in the winter.

Suzie Collier- Reception/Accounts

Started here in 2011, Suzie maintains a wonderful rapport with our clients and is in charge of the Book keeping, Accounts and much more. Suzie also helps at our weekly puppy parties.  Prior to working at the practice, Suzie was a dog carer/walker, and is therefore renowned amongst dog owners in Haywards Heath.

Sonya Drury RVN / Receptionist

Joined the practice in 1987 as a qualified nurse when A.N. Stuart owned the practice, she has a horse named Banjo and rides regularly. She mainly works at the weekends as our critical care nurse but you may recognise her from reception where she also works three days a week.

Ruth Harper-Smith-Receptionist

Joined the Reception Team in September 2012 having previously worked in retail for many years. She is married to Paul and is the owner of a rescue cat named Joey. Ruth loves Fine Dining and is an avid reader.

Grania Dendy-Receptionist

Grania joined the Reception Team in November 2013 having previously been a Nanny to two young boys. Grania is in charge of updating our Facebook page and Website and also is responsible for the displays you see in the waiting room and around the practice.

Lucy Tranah- Receptionist  

Lucy joined us in October 2016 initially to cover maternity leave but was taken on permanently. She previously worked in catering. She is a qualified florist with 11 years experience. She has always owned cats and currently has a cat named Alfie.

Stephanie Izzard- Head Clinical Housekeeper

Steph joined us as a day release pupil studying Animal Care from Plumpton College in 2006. She impressed us so much with her hard work and initiative we realised we could not do without her! She joined our full time staff in July 2007 and has worked as our Clinical Housekeeper, keeping the hospital side of the practice clean and tidy, ever since. Steph is the owner of a small menagerie of cats.

Beth Swanson- Clinical Housekeeper

Beth works as one of our invaluable clinical housekeepers on a Sunday.
