Parasite Control for Dogs: Fleas, Ticks & Worms
Keeping your dog protected from parasites is a vital part of responsible pet care. Fleas, ticks and worms don’t just cause discomfort — they can lead to serious health issues. At Oathall Vets, we offer tailored parasite prevention plans to keep your dog healthy and protected all year round.
Why Parasite Protection Matters
Parasites can affect your dog’s skin, gut, and even internal organs. They can also pose risks to other pets and your family.
Common Parasites in Dogs:
- Fleas – Cause itching, skin infections, and can spread tapeworms.
- Ticks – Can transmit Lyme disease and other infections.
- Roundworms & tapeworms – Harm your dog’s digestive health and can be passed to humans.
- Lungworm – A potentially fatal parasite spread by slugs and snails.
Signs Your Dog May Have Parasites
- Excessive scratching or biting at skin
- Visible fleas or flea dirt
- Worms in stools or around the bottom
- Scooting or dragging rear end
- Lethargy, weight loss, or digestive upset
