What you need to know

PRICES

We are independent, have a large car park, separate dog and cat waiting rooms and provide a 24/7 on-site service from our Haywards Heath surgery.

At Oathall Veterinary Group we believe in fair and transparent pricing. Running a bricks and mortar veterinary practice providing on-site 24/7 care costs a significant amount of money. Charging fairly, appropriately and sustainably means that we can be here for you and your pets now and into the future. Many advertised prices often don’t fully reflect the actual cost of veterinary services and can give a misleading impression of what the true cost of veterinary care for your pets can be. Vaccinations and neutering are usually subsidised as vets believe in animal welfare; across the profession, the cost charged for neutering may only be around 25% of what an equivalent surgery would normally cost. This will of course vary from clinic to clinic and will also depend on what else the clinic offers but it is important to consider when you are thinking about what the medical costs for your pets might be.

It is also important to consider we all get pets hoping they will be around for many years and provide many years of happiness. Pets tend to cost the most in their final two years of life and we must consider how we could fund this and go on funding this if our circumstances change. Nobody likes to talk about money, but we have to. At Oathall Veterinary Group we will always discuss treatment options with you and look for an option that suits you and your pet.

To help you do your research and think about the ifs and maybes we will be publishing some costs for certain surgeries and conditions. Ultimately any route taken would be after discussion with yourself however we want to enable you to fully consider how you fund your pet’s care.
