We are thrilled to have reached an important milestone after being officially recognised for the high standard of care we provide to pets and their owners.

We have been awarded accreditation under the Practice Standards Scheme by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), the independent governing body for veterinary practices in the UK.

The award confirms that we meet nationally recognised standards for clinical care, facilities, staff training and client service following a detailed inspection process that assesses everything from equipment and hygiene to patient safety and communication with pet owners.

This is a huge achievement for our whole team. Gaining RCVS Practice Standards Scheme accreditation involves months of preparation and rigorous checks behind the scenes. It reassures our clients that their pets are being cared for in a practice that meets the highest professional standards.

What does this mean for local pet owners?

For pet owners in Haywards Heath and surrounding areas, the accreditation means they can feel confident that:

  • Their pets are treated in a clean, safe and well-equipped clinical environment.
  • The practice follows strict standards of patient care and welfare.
  • Staff receive ongoing training and professional development.
  • Procedures and treatments are regularly reviewed and audited.
  • The practice is independently inspected and quality checked.

The RCVS Practice Standards Scheme is voluntary, and not all veterinary practices choose to take part due to the high level of commitment required to achieve and maintain it.

Local care, day and night

Alongside this national recognition, we also provide an important service for the local community by offering our own on-site out-of-hours emergency care, delivered by our own dedicated team of vets and nurses.

This means pet owners can access urgent care at any time of day or night in familiar surroundings, with continuity of care from a team who know their patients and their history, providing added reassurance when emergencies happen.

Investing in facilities and positive experiences

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving services, we have recently invested in refurbishing our practice to create a calmer, more welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.

We also benefit from a large secure garden where patients can relax and play, helping to reduce stress during visits. In addition, we also run popular puppy parties designed to help young dogs socialise and develop positive experiences at the vet from an early age.

These initiatives reflect our belief that veterinary care should be both clinically excellent and emotionally supportive for animals and their families.

A commitment to continual improvement

For more than 120 years, we have served the local community and remains a trusted, independent veterinary practice known for its friendly, personal approach to pet care. The new accreditation reflects the practice’s commitment to staying true to its values while continually improving its services and investing in both its facilities and its team
